Accessibility Statement

PrimeLens Nepal is committed to making our website accessible and usable for all visitors. This page describes our current accessibility efforts and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier. Effective: June 1, 2025.

Our Commitment

We believe everyone deserves equal access to eye care products and information. PrimeLens Nepal is actively working to ensure our website conforms to recognised accessibility standards to the best of our ability as a small business. We value feedback from our customers and use it to continually improve.

Standards We Aim For

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

Key Accessibility Features on Our Site

Text Alternatives

We aim to provide descriptive alt text for product images so screen reader users receive equivalent information.

Keyboard Navigation

Core site functions are designed to be navigable using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.

Colour Contrast

We aim for sufficient contrast between text and background colours to support users with low vision or colour blindness.

Responsive Design

Our site is designed to work on a range of screen sizes and devices, including mobile phones and tablets.

Resizable Text

Text on our site can be resized using browser zoom features up to 200% without loss of functionality.

Clear Language

We aim to use plain, clear language in product descriptions, policies, and guides to aid comprehension.

Known Limitations

We are a small business and while we are committed to accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Known or potential limitations include:

  • Some third-party embedded tools (payment gateways, tracking widgets) are outside our direct control and may have their own accessibility limitations.
  • Older product images may not yet have complete alt text descriptions.
  • Complex prescription input forms may require further accessibility improvements — we are working on this.

We are continuously working to identify and address these gaps. If you encounter any barrier, please let us know.

Requesting Accessible Assistance

If you are unable to access any part of our website or complete a purchase due to an accessibility barrier, we are happy to assist you directly. You can:

  • Contact us via WhatsApp or phone to place an order verbally.
  • Email us with the product details and we will process your order manually.
  • Request that product information be provided in an alternative format.

We will respond to all accessibility-related requests within 3 business days and do our best to accommodate your needs.

Feedback & Reporting Issues

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of PrimeLens Nepal. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us with:

  • The URL or page where you experienced the issue.
  • A brief description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The browser, assistive technology, and device you were using (if known).

Third-Party Content

Our website may contain links to or embed content from third-party services (payment providers, courier tracking, social media). PrimeLens Nepal is not responsible for the accessibility of third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review their individual accessibility statements.
